Future-Ready Off-Grid Power Solution Powers Lindham Piggery
ZYC Energy, in collaboration with Victron Energy and MyEnergy Engineering, delivered a fully containerised off-grid power system for Lindham Piggery, just 40 km north of Adelaide, South Australia. The piggery’s high-powered feed mill historically relied on diesel generators, which struggled to handle large, irregular peak loads, leading to inefficiencies and high fuel costs.

The solution integrates 256 kWh ZYC SIMPO lithium batteries with Victron inverters and smart solar charge controllers, creating a reliable, stable, and scalable energy system. Built off-site as a climate-controlled containerised station, the system consolidates both the feed mill and the piggery under one power supply. Peak loads are now absorbed by the battery and inverter system, while diesel generators are retained only for emergency backup.

Thanks to the collaboration with MyEnergy Engineering (https://www.myenergysolar.com.au/), Lindham Piggery now benefits from significant diesel savings, enhanced operational reliability, and a future-ready system capable of supporting ongoing expansion. This project demonstrates how ZYC’s advanced battery technology, combined with Victron’s intelligent power management, can deliver robust off-grid energy solutions for large-scale agricultural operations.
